Hillary Clinton has won the North Carolina Democratic primary, according to three television networks.
Clinton had long been predicted to win the state, with a double-digit lead over Bernie Sanders in the most recent public polls, holding a 57 percent to 33 percent lead according to the RealClearPolitics polling average.
Clinton also scored the in-state backing of Rep. G.K. Butterfield, the chairman of the Congressional Black Caucus, as well as Reps. Alma Adams and David Price. Sanders, meanwhile, did not have any endorsements from members of Congress representing the state.
North Carolina awards its 107 Democratic delegates on a proportional basis.
