Current Individuals on the FBI’s Most Wanted Terrorist List

With the recent announcement of the United States capturing one of its top individuals on the FBI’s Most Wanted Terrorist list, they recently updated their current list. It is important to understand that the FBI keeps someone on their list until they know with 100 percent accuracy the person is dead.

According to LinkedIn.com Adnan G. El Shukrijumah is towards the top of the list as he is believed to be a senior figure for al Qaeda and was in charge of a 2010 plot to bomb the New York City’s subway system. Currently, Pakistan says they have killed the individual but the FBI still has him on their list (after housing Bin Laden, the FBI is not going to take what Pakistan says as fact).

Ayman al-Zawahiri is a longtime physician and deputy for Osama bin Laden and took over al Qaeda after his death four years ago. He has also been indicted for his role in the 1998 bombings of U.S. Embassies throughout Africa.

Adam Yahiye Gadahn is originally from California but is now charged with treason and for offering material to support terrorism (being charged with treason comes with an automatic death sentence).

Saif al-Adel is an Egyptian is is also a high ranking al Qaeda member and was also connected to the 1998 bombings in Africa.

Joanne Chesimard is the highest listed female on this list. She is from New York, known as “Assata Shakur” and now lives in Cuba. She’s wanted for a 1973 murder of a state trooper.
