Donald Trump’s campaign manager mocked Hillary Clinton’s team after FBI Director James Comey told lawmakers on Sunday that the agency is standing by its conclusion that no prosecution of Clinton was warranted.
Kellyanne Conway fired back at Clinton press secretary Brian Fallon, who tweeted, “We were always confident nothing would cause the July decision to be revisited. Now Director Comey has confirmed it.”
Fallon sent the message after Comey said a review of additional evidence did not change the agency’s view that no reasonable prosecutor would bring a case against Clinton for her handling of classified materials through the private email server she used as secretary of state.
Conway shot back on Twitter, “Then why did you, your colleagues, and your candidate attack Comey and his credibility?”
