There he served as an Associate Editor of the Columbia Business Law Review. Shortly after his graduation from law school Mr. Tabar joined one of the world’s most accredited law firms, Skadden, Arps, Slater, Meagher & Flom LLP. Counseling clients on what is known as hedge fund formation Mr. Tabar eventually left for a loftier career.
High finance at PMA Investment Advisors became his new career home. Having joined this financial giant in 2004 as counsel he later was promoted to managing director. Global marketing and investor relations helped him to establish himself in designing and executing strategic marketing plans for his firm. Helping with Asset Raising Team plus developing a unique asset raising strategy. This lead to raising $1.2 billion in assets while working closely with the CEO and founding partners.
Bank of America Merrill Lynch was Sam Tabar’s next move in his impressive career. In February of 2011 he had joined as Director plus Head of Capital Security for the Asia – Pacific area. There he shined brightly in the firm’s hedge fund clients. Providing counsel while targeting institutional investors. During his role at Merrill Lynch Mr. Tabar created a large clientele of over 1,250 ‘institutional’ investors. Later he left in 2012 to act as Director of Adanac LLC, BVI. Investing in properties Mr. Tabar embarked on his next great venture.
In September of 2013 he found his way back to the legal world. Joining Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP as a Senior Associate working once more with hedge funds. Not even a year later he ended up leaving the firm in March of 2014. Currently Mr. Tabar has made a huge move by placing a large investment in THIKX. This ‘startup’ focuses on supporting women in both the African and Asian nations. Mr. Tabar shines not only in the fact that he has become extremely successful in his business/career endeavors but also in proving himself in several different nations. Within the several nations he has worked with he has even become almost fluent in Japanese, French, as well as his native English language.
