The Kardashians Can’t Have Everything!

The Kardashian clan seems to be everywhere you look these days, dangling the world from their perfectly manicured fingers. So when Aussie songstress Kylie Minogue (age 49) won the right to keep the name KYLIE from being trademarked by the youngest of the Kardashian clan, Kylie Jenner, (aged 20) the Kardashian fandom took a collective gasp. Sure money can buy fame these days, but it cannot change the fact that Minogue has actually had a long spanning career, and dare I say talent.

While the classy Minogue was quick to emphasis it was nothing personal, it may have left some Kylie bots, (as Jenner has recently dubbed her fans) a little less then pleased. But the ever-classy Minogue, when asked in her recent Rolling Stone interview said, “I’ve never met Kylie Jenner…It’s awkward, because fans get so loyal and vocal, and we love that! But it was nothing personal at all, I’m at pains to say.” Rolling Stone Interview

For any lingering doubt as the rightfulness of the outcome, Minogue was going simply as “Kylie” before Jenner was born!

Kylie Jenner seems to be at no disadvantage from this trademark loss. Her notorious family, her social media savvy, and successful cosmetic company are likely to keep shooting her star right to the very top, though her own celebrity seems to be wandering a bit from her mind. She and rapper boyfriend Travis Scott are getting read for the birth of her first child later this month. Still no word on the name for the little Jenner princess. Perhaps Kylie and Travis should do a google search of baby names and make sure their choice is not already take by an established star.

On anther plant called the music world, the bonafide Princess of Pop Kylie Minogue can ow put her focus back on making music without fear of her name being wrestled away from her. Her fans are quick to point to her undisputed legacy in the industry. Her new single, “Dancing”, an upbeat pop song with a country flavor, has given us something to look forward to when the new album Golden is set to drop in April.
