ANDY WIRTH APPOINTED TO RENO AIRPORT BOARD via SIERRA SUN

There’s a vibrant new beginning taking place at the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority Board, as three new board members Lisa Gianoli, Jenifer Rose, and Jessica Sferrazza, were sworn in July 9, along with the newly appointed chairman, Squaw Valley’s own “Undercover Boss” Andy Wirth. The three new members will serve as part of a nine member board in this new and newly energized regime.

Wirth, who was initially appointed to the board by the Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitor’s Authority in 2013, brings to his position a strong background in resort management and his extensive experience working with airlines to enhance the flow of flights into Utah, Colorado and Canada.

As part of Wirth’s service on the board, he has made representing the Squaw Valley Ski resort and the area’s business and gaming concerns a major priority. Wirth has also acted as a strong liaison between Lake Tahoe and the Reno-Sparks region, while also representing an airport that is “the gateway to Lake Tahoe.”

Wirth expressed excitement about the vitality that the new board members will bring to the Reno-Tahoe Air Authority Board as a whole, stressing the great talent and enthusiasm of the members of the board and their dedication to enhancing travel in and out of the region. The outdoorsman also expressed his pride in being given the opportunity to represent the RSVCA and act as chairman. In Wirth’s view, the RSVCA is an entity whose work is crucial to enhancing the regional economy with greater air traffic and greater tourism.
